  3. I'm glad you check in again. You and your family are still in my thoughts.

I'm celebrating my daughter's b-day tonight at Joe's Crabshack. I know I'll eat the hush puppies and probably b-day cake. I made a cake with 1/2 sugar 1/2 Splenda....hope the kids like it! I'll make my YOU-turn tomorrow.

    Take care of yourself, Rich.

  5. Glad your back Rich!

Have you tried the RockStar Zero Carb, it's the best...I have tried all the sugar free brands. I drink them before I workout, when there's no time to make coffee.

Happy to see the blog up and running, you where missed!!!!

  6. Thanks ladies..

Enjoy the CrabShack, Dara! I had a couple of Crab Cakes myself when I was in New Olreans.

I like Rock Star A LOT better than Monster, but my Costco and Sam's Club don't carry Rock Star, only Monster, and paying $2 a can for Rockstar at the grocery store is criminal.

  7. Yes Rich, my Sams only has Monster, 27 something for a case. But I just don't like it...my grocery has Rock Star on sale for 5.99 a 4 pack (I stocked up). The other store I go to has a 4 pack for 6.88. It sure beats the gas station prices of 1.98 a can and still cheaper then a bottle Fuze..which I gave up for the Rock Star.

Orlando Tek (AKA) Marshall made a new YOAD blogger forum...check it out!

    Sleep tight!

  8. Small victory.....the Crabshack no longer sells hush puppies! So, I actually had an arugula salad with chicken breast and strawberry vinagrette dressing. So, the dressing was the worst part of the evening! Woohoo! Not bad! I tried the b-day cake that I made and it wasn't that great. The splenda in the mix left a weird feeling in my mouth!

In a few of months, I'll go back to drinking Monster again... I love the stuff!

  9. Rich,

I've been worried about you, and I'm so glad to see your post. The last thing you need is a bunch of people telling you what to do...but here's my thing: Should I fall off YOAD, I want anyone and everyone to get on my case and force me back into it. I haven't experienced any loss like yours, and I don't look forward to it, either (I've lost all four grandparents, and no one closer, and I'm an only child), but I do know that we all cope best by getting back into routines in our lives...and YOAD is certainly a major routine. That doesn't mean "forget," "ignore," or, "act fake," but just simply "routine."

I, along with many others, will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. That said, if you (or anyone for that matter) every have anything specific you'd like "prayed for" (large sums of money excluded), I promise I'll pray for them. The problem is that there are three answers to our prayers: "Yes," "No," and "Not Yet." The last two are particularly hard.

Welcome back, Rich. It's great to have you back.

    Chris
