About Me

I started the "You: On a Diet" on Feb. 28, 2007.

I weighed 297 lbs. & had a 57” waist. I saw Dr. Oz & Dr. Roizen on the Oprah Winfrey show & what they said made sense to me. I went out, bought the book, read the book & a week later started the plan. I lost 78 pounds and after some personal heartbreaks, I quit dieting in October 2007.

Since then, I have gained all the weight back plus more. Now, 14 years later, I am determined to lose the weight again for good.

I have 2 goals. The first goal is to get down to 215 pounds. At 215 pounds, I would weigh the lowest EVER in my adult life. My second & ultimate goal is 199 lbs.

I’ve worked as an Air Traffic Controller at the Albuquerque Air Traffic Control Center from July 1988 until July 2014. I am now retired from Air Traffic Control. I've since moved to the Pacific Northwest and am enjoying rain and green!
